Many are called but few are chosen

I received a collection of short stories as a Christmas present. The name of the author sounded the same as a fellow I worked alongside in 1970-73. I’ve just conducted an Internet search. My former work colleague from the 1970’s has published three short stories/novellas, five novels and has won numerous awards for his writing. I am so impressed. The Internet search exercise has also caused me to reflect somewhat soberly on what I’ve been doing with my time since the early 1970’s.
