Not deja vu again
I had a rush of blood to the head earlier today and decided to go on my university’s website and download the last three or four exam papers in Property Law. “A sensible precaution !” I hear you say, given that I will be presenting for the Property Law exam in mid-June. What I hadn’t bargained on, of course, was the effect that exercise might have on me. As soon as the 2006 exam paper loomed up on the screen and I saw that all too familiar format - name of the university, title of the subject, number of questions, number to be answered, etc., I was gripped by that same apprehension I’ve experienced a number of times during the last two and a half years. “What if I have to answer three questions out of four and I can only find two questions that I can do justice to?” “What if I’m confronted with a question where I can call to the mind the points which need to be made but not the cases and legislation to support my points ?” and so on. Now that the initial terror has subsided, I can see the kinds of questions which have been asked in recent years, the range of topics examined and the depth of knowledge expected. Forewarned is forearmed.
